His town was made of dreams of the sea
They wandered through the falling leaves
Her town was where he had come from
A town of dust and childerens love
He crawled into her window like she asked
And they fell asleep together at last
She rips the pedals of their stem
To test his love like childeren can
If there's a thing he would distort it'd be the
Numbers on his porch
He tried to rid himself of his sad life
Together they will sleep tonight
So they watch the lights go down, tonight. Watch the lights go down, tonight they'll.....
2006-04-13 Dea: there's no song
2006-04-13 Dea: now it's much better.
it like a Supergrass song but a little lighter.
i like it.
2006-04-13 Vintage Rhymes and Valentines: Super grass?
2006-04-13 Dea: i dopn't know. i just love the first ones.
2006-04-13 Vintage Rhymes and Valentines: oh the band supergrass sorry i just blanked for sec.
2006-04-15 honey bunny: hey that awesome..like it a lot
2006-04-24 Sir. Robert: It sounds great! How did you record it?
2006-05-09 Rolo: :D I enjoyed it, however i think the vocals need to be louder and maybe that part where the guitar solo plays needs more bass or rhythm in the background, it felt like something was missing to me. Apart from that good song! :D
2006-05-10 Vintage Rhymes and Valentines: All of my recording is done on Acid Pro and then I record all the guitars through several effects pedals and the vocals and drums are recorded through an old mixing board I got for cheap used. Not the most expensive fancy set up but it gives a certain flavor to my music.
2006-06-21 ghost: I really enjoyed everything - except for the vocals. Sorry bro, they just didn't work for me. Everything else sounds good though.
2006-06-22 Vintage Rhymes and Valentines: Thanks for commenting dude. I was waiting for some one to say that haha this is an old recording. From back before singing lessons. I think we all have a few of these lying around lol.
2006-09-08 vaselessuedirect: the intro is pure genius. It's like the part in themovie whre the studio animations pop up. Ah but then, here comes th protagonist walking down the street..ha, so hopeful, so gleeful sounding, I love it.
I love the way that the verse is set of in a question answer manner with the vocals to the full ensemble coming and fulfilling the phrase. I also like the drums, probably borning to play, but it works perfectly. REminds me a one of my favorite bands, Grandaddy. In Fact, this song soungs a lot like them, kind of a mellow rock sounding, with a lot of cool sounds.
the bit after the first chorus I like too. Backward? anyways it's cool.
My favorite part of the song though is the "They'll watch the lights go down tonight" build up, it's real catchy, makes you wanna go out and do something with your life.
This song I really like. It's perfect how it starts in and then ends, it's like an entire film, some kind of story could be played under it perfectly I think.
Anyways, I will most deinitely get into more of your stuff soon, prolly tomorrow...
